Behind every care plan is a person, a family, and a team that truly cares
Providing High Intensity Support
We are all unique. Some people living with disability need a higher level of support. Our support workers are trained to help people with complex needs.
In some cases, a nurse must provide the in-home care needed. We will identify this with you in our initial consultation. We have qualified nurses able to provide clinical and other specialist support.
We will discuss and document what supports are needed. This includes a visit to your home to make sure that we understand fully what you need. Your support worker or nurse will be trained in the management plan. So that you can be confident that you will receive support that is tailored to your unique needs. For example, we help with:
- Medication administration
- Sleepovers
- Active overnights where support is needed
- Wound care and dressings
- Oxygen therapy
- Non-invasive ventilation
- Catheter care
- PEG and NGT tube feedingPalliative care support

Read Sean’s Story
Laura, Sam’s mother, shares their journey. They live in Williams Landing.
After learning about Sterling Care Australia from another family in April 2025, I reached out for extra support for my son, Sam.
Sam has profound disabilities and needs carers who are highly trained, patient, compassionate, and able to fit seamlessly into our family dynamic.
We started with a single weekly shift for a few weeks, but over time, that support has grown to multiple shifts six days a week to meet Sam’s evolving needs and goals.
Sterling Care Australia provided additional carers following Sam’s scoliosis surgery when he was unable to attend school.
Priya, Sam’s coordinator, is approachable, understanding, and committed to keeping us informed of any changes. She works diligently to ensure that Sean’s carers are perfectly suited to his needs and maintains constant communication to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Sterling Care Australia’s support played a crucial role in helping us navigate the support and needs required—I truly don’t know where we would be without them.

Have A Question About Our Complex Care Services?
These are some of the most frequently asked questions. Since everyone's needs are different, we encourage you to reach out with any inquiries—we're here to help!
Ask a question
What level of complex needs can you support?
We provide comprehensive in-home support for complex needs, thanks to our team of experienced nurses and disability support workers. This allows us to offer flexible care tailored to your requirements. For hoisting, transfers, and sleepovers, we have specific guidelines in place. During the onboarding process, we’ll discuss these details with you and assess your setup to ensure everything meets your needs.
How do I get started with complex needs support?
Our team collaborates to deliver the support services you need.
First, we will discuss your requirements and conduct an in-home assessment at your location. Once we establish a management plan, your support workers will receive the necessary training to ensure they can provide effective care.
All these steps must be completed before we begin, ensuring that we can support you appropriately and safely.
What set up do I need for a sleepover?
The Support Worker must have access to a private room with a bed, appropriate facilities (including staff facilities where available), and complimentary board and lodging for each night of the sleepover shift.
The designated sleeping space must have a closable door and a functional heating and air conditioning system to ensure a comfortable rest.
The Participant must have a reliable method to wake the sleepover Support Worker when needed, such as a buzzer, alarm system, or similar device.
We are providing services across Victoria
Sterling Care Australia proudly delivers personalised NDIS services directly within local communities, operating from multiple locations that are strategically positioned across regional cities and Melbourne suburbs. This network allows us to stay closely connected with the individuals and families we support, ensuring timely, accessible, and community-based assistance.
Even if your specific suburb isn’t listed among our office locations, we encourage you to get in touch. Our dedicated team offers flexible and fully mobile services, allowing us to meet participants wherever they are whether in their homes, local community spaces, or other preferred environments. Our goal is to ensure that distance or location is never a barrier to receiving high-quality, person-centred support.
