Ask a question
What details should I share when reaching out to join Sterling Care Australia as a Participant?
Reach out to request a copy of our referral form. Once completed, we will follow up with you or your Support Coordinator to initiate the onboarding process.
Is NDIS funding required to join Sterling Care Australia as a Participant?
While many of our clients receive NDIS funding, we also offer support beyond the NDIS. A separate payment schedule will apply. Reach out to us for more details.
Is it possible to utilize multiple services?
Yes. Many of our participants utilize our services for support with Domestic Assistance, Community Access, and Assistance with Daily Activities.
What Can Support Workers Help Me With?
Sterling Care Australia can help with a range of supports including:
- Personal care
- Sleepovers
- Domestic support
- Medication support
- Transport
Please be aware that we have a no-lift policy unless mechanical assistance, such as slide sheets or a hoist, is available.
Is it possible to modify a scheduled shift?
Absolutely. Sterling Care Australia takes a flexible approach to services. Our operational Manager will work to accommodate any adjustments you require. A change in service time may lead to a different Support Worker delivering your service.
What is the required notice period for canceling a shift?
If you won’t be home on the scheduled day or time of your service, please provide as much notice as possible. The best way to make adjustments is by calling your HR manager or Operational Manager during normal business hours.
A charge may apply if the required minimum notice isn’t given. Under NDIS, this is 24 hours before the scheduled service time. Charges may vary based on your funding source, as outlined in your service agreement.
In the case of an emergency, you will not be required to pay for the service.
Are Support Workers able to assist with transport?
Transport availability will depend on your NDIS plan’s transport funding. If you do not have transport funding and prefer that Support Workers use your vehicle for transportation, please contact your HR Manager or Operational Manager, who will provide our Vehicle Policy and agreement forms.
